DEATH OF LIZ HOWARD

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Liz, one of the founding members of the Tipperary Supporters Club. It was one of her many contributions to matters pertaining to Tipperary GAA: PRO of the Tipperary County Board and President of the Camogie Association being notable other roles. She was to the fore in smashing the glass ceiling in the GAA as she became the first woman appointed to the Tipperary County Board and she changed the face of the GAA in the media by being appointed the first female analyst on The Sunday Game. She demonstrated that she had lost none of her taste for debate in recent years by taking to social media enthusiastically while maintaining the civility and kindness for which she was known. Truly, it can be said of her "ní fheicimid a leithéid arís." Our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
