                                  SUCCESS  FOR TIPP TEAMS (MOSTLY)
Commiserations  to the Tipp minor footballers who conceded a goal in the last minute of the second period of extra time to lose to Cork in FBD Semple Stadium on Monday evening last. A very brave and committed showing by a highly motivated and skilful team. Clearly football in the county is on the up. Best of luck to them in Stamullen, Co. Meath this Saturday when they take on Derry in the ‘B’ championship at 2pm. Best of luck also to the senior footballers in taking on Kildare in Round 2 of the Tailteann Cup also on Saturday May 17th at 4pm in Clonmel.Heartiest congratulations to Liam and the senior hurling team after their victory in Ennis last Saturday evening. It’s never easy to take on All Ireland champions in their own yard when a victory is keenly required….Liam’s boys did it with a heartening display of courage, commitment and skill. They deserve a huge Tipp support on Sunday when they take on Waterford in FBD Semple Stadium this Sunday at 2pm. The stakes couldn’t be higher.Also congratulations to the U20 hurling team and management on their Munster final victory over Clare in FBD Semple Stadium last Wednesday evening. It wasn’t easy and the lads got the rub of the green on their way to putting Tipp at the top of the U20/U21 roll of honour in Munster. But like the seniors, they came good when it mattered, helped in no small way by a sterling display from Oisín O'Donoghue.

                                               DEATH NOTICE
The death has occurred of Very Rev. Walter Canon Harris P.E. (Killester, Dublin: former Parish Priest of Blanchardstown and Kilmore West and former curate in Drumcondra, Arklow, Dundrum, Ballyboughal and Donnycarney parishes). A native of Kilsheelan, Canon Harris was a huge Tipperary supporter and a Supporters Club Membership Seller for many years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
