From Tipperary GAA Scene
Tipperary County Board is pleased to announce that a senior hurling challenge game between Munster and Tipperary will take place at MacDonagh Park Nenagh on Saturday, January 28 at 2.30pm. All proceeds from the game will be donated to Breast Cancer Ireland. As many people will know, a pink ribbon is associated with fund raising to prevent breast cancer and support breast cancer patients. With this in mind, O’Neill’s have sponsored jerseys for both teams with a pink theme. So this will be the only occasion on which these jerseys will ever be worn for a game. One of these special jerseys from each team will also be auctioned at half-time. There will also be a number of prizes to be raffled among the attendance. Liam Sheedy is manager of the Munster team with Eamon O’Shea as coach. We are grateful to Munster Council for approving this game, to Breast Cancer Ireland for permission to run this event in association with them and to the managers of both teams for agreeing to s upport it.
