Tipperary Supporters Club Adult Membership Update

Membership for 2011 is now available on www.tippsupportersclub.com and the member’s dvd gift is proving very popular.    We have had queries about playing the dvd on players in the USA and some information on that is given below.  The dvd features the full 2010 GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final with RTE commentary as well as highlights of the Bord Gais Under 21 Final. This dvd is produced by Sideline, the Irish company with the exclusive rights from the GAA for dvds.  Member’s packs are being posted within 24 hours of a member joining on line.  As well as on line, membership is available in the GAA Shop in Thurles and in the premises of Tony Lowry, Main Street, Tipperary Town; Jerry Moynihan, Gladstone Street, Clonmel; and Noel Ryan, Parnell Street, Thurles.

In addition each Adult Membership Card will be accompanied by a Tipperary Car/Window Sticker. Adult Members will be entered in Ticket Draws for five pairs of stand tickets before each of Tipperary’s 2011 Munster and All-Ireland championship games. They will also be entered in a Draw for an All-Ireland Hurling Weekend stay at the Four Star Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin (match tickets included). Also members can access a discount scheme and will get Championship team news by text as well as regular updates by email on team news and events. Adult Membership in 2011 will cost €30 (unchanged since 2005).

Supporters can join on line on www.tippsupportersclub.com by credit card or debit/laser card. If you want to give membership as a present, a gift voucher is available on the website. Also on the website details are available of the direct debit facility; as the Club is run on a completely voluntary basis it would be a great help if members could join by direct debit. If joining by post please send a cheque or postal order payable to Tipperary Supporters Club to John Coman, PRO and Membership Officer, 52 Hazelbrook Road, Terenure, Dublin 6W (087-9087105, email: info@tippsupportersclub.com).

As regards playing the dvd in the USA, it is not available in NTSC format as that would require a complete re-mastering of the DVD from source.
However, the DVD itself is not play restricted so if a US buyer has a ‘multi-region’ DVD player it will play this PAL format. Many newish DVD players and TV are multi-region have a PAL and NTSC option. It may be automatic or the user may have to manually select.  DVDs will always play on a PC or laptop with DVD capacity.  See more info here on this: http://www.dvdsales.ie/regional_information/regional_information.133.html

Junior Membership is free on www.tippsupportersclub.com.
