Tipperary Intermediate Hurlers 2011

Sean O’Meara, Selector, sent us on this message.  Well done on all the great work being done by the Tipperary Supporters Club and it’s a vital part of the Tipperary GAA set up.  I recently attended your launch and it’s great to see the support you are receiving from all Tipperary Gaels.

I would like you to mention the Tipperary Intermediate team who face Cork in the 1st round of the Munster Championship in Thurles as a curtain raiser to the Senior team on May 29th. It is fortunate that the Tipperary County Board have been informed by Croke Park that they can now play players who are not part of Declan Ryan’s  senior squad on the Intermediate team in 2011.  This means for the first time ever Senior Club Players in Tipperary can play Intermediate Championship for the Premier County.  It is envisaged that this team will become a Development Squad for the Senior Team and will strongly challenge for honours in 2011.  The team will be managed by Michael Ryan Fethard,Coach Michael Ferncombe Holycross,Selectors Eamon O Dwyer Arravale Rovers and Sean O’Meara Shannon Rovers.

All Tipperary Supporters wish the Intermediate Team all the very best for 2011 and we will all watch with great interest how the new format will work out for Tipperary.
