Tipperary hurler Patrick Maher will miss the remainder of his side’s Allianz National League campaign.

Maher broke a bone in his hand during the weekend win over Galway.

The early signs are that he will be out of action for a month, which will keep him out of the Premier’s final round fixture against Wexford in two weeks’ time as well as a possible Division 1 final on Sunday 1 May.

However, the Lorrha forward is expected to be back in action in plenty of time for the Munster SHC opener against Cork at the end of May.

Maher joins namesake Brendan as well as All-Ireland winning captain Eoin Kelly and corner back Paddy Stapleton on the Tipp injured list.

Brendan Maher is sidelined with a broken ankle, Kelly has missed his side’s recent games with a broken finger and Stapleton is nursing badly bruised ribs.
