Kieran McGeeney makes debut on Tipperary backroom staff

FORMER KILDARE MANAGER Kieran McGeeney made his first appearance in Tipperary colours as he watched the hurlers defeat Westmeath in an exhibition match this afternoon.
McGeeney, who was relieved of his coaching duties with the Lilywhites earlier this year, is now working with Tipperary and was on the sidelines with the backroom staff for the Tipp hurlers.
Tipp defeated Westmeath by 3-20 to 0-13 this afternoon at The Ragg in a senior hurling challenge. The home side’s goals arrived courtesy of Patrick ‘Bonner ‘Maher (two) and former Kildare player Conor Kenny.
