Tipperary defeated Kilkenny by 2-15 to 1-14 in the annual Tom O’Hara Under 21 Hurling Tournament in Gortnahoe on Sunday evening. Tipperary led by 0-8 to 0-6 at the interval and goals by Timmy Hammersly and Philip Ivors in the second half put Tipperary in control. Kilkenny scored 1-5 in the last ten minutes but Tipperary held out for a four point victory.
