A new monthly magazine titled "Hurling World" dedicated exclusively to hurling and camogie has been launched. Issue One was released recently and features in-depth coverage and analysis of this year’s All-Ireland final from some of the country’s top hurling writers. Hurling World’s launch issue also features a major interview with GAA President Nickey Brennan, an analysis of the ongoing debate about the hurling championship structures, and we step back in time with the men who made history when they were named as hurling’s first All-Stars in 1971.
Kilkenny’s John Power, Cork’s Tom Kenny, Galway’s Ollie Canning, Liam Horan and Waterford’s John Mullane have joined the Hurling World Panel.

Coaching and fitness issues are covered in our Players Zone section while veteran inter-county referee Dickie Murphy and the GAA’s National Hurling Director Paudie Butler will be writing monthly columns on refereeing and hurling development. Hurling World will also include extensive coverage of camogie, special club focus features, round-ups of the latest hurling news from your county, features on the classic matches and teams, and hurling news from Britain, the US, and further afield. For further information, contact Frank Burke on 087-2842018 or email Hurling World will be available from newsagents in every hurling parish by January 2009.
