2011 Membership including Gift of All-Ireland DVD now available and other news

Membership for 2011 is now available on www.tippsupportersclub.com.

To mark Tipperary’s great year in 2010, we are delighted that the member’s gift in 2011 will a dvd featuring the full 2010 GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final and highlights of the Bord Gais Under 21 Final. This dvd is produced by Sideline, the Irish company with the exclusive rights from the GAA for dvds. In addition each Adult Membership Card will be accompanied by a Tipperary Car/Window Sticker. Adult Members will be entered in Ticket Draws for five pairs of stand tickets before each of Tipperary’s 2011 Munster and All-Ireland championship games. They will also be entered in a Draw for an All-Ireland Hurling Weekend stay at the Four Star Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin (match tickets included). Also members can access a discount scheme and will get Championship team news by text as well as regular updates by email on team news and events. Adult Membership in 2010 will cost €30 (unchanged since 2005).

Also on the website details are available of the direct debit facility; as the Club is run on a completely voluntary basis it would be a great help if members could join by direct debit. Tipperary G.A.A. Yearbook 2011

The Yearbook Committee expect to have the 2011 edition of the book in the shops by this Friday, December 10. This year’s book is the biggest ever at 260 pages and it covers in detail the G.A.A. activity in the county for the past year. The highlight of the content has to be the coverage of our All-Ireland successes and this will be lavish in text and picture. The book will include all the usual sections such as Bord na nÓg, the schools, camogie, ladies football and handball, as well as an extensive obituary section. TIPPERARY MEDAL PRESENTATION

The medal presentation for the All Ireland Senior hurling winning panel, the Munster Under 21 football winning panel and the Munster and All Ireland Under 21 Hurling winning panel will take place at 7pm in Dundrum House Hotel on Saturday, December 18. There is a small number of tickets available at €50 each to the general public holders of these tickets will be in a room adjoining the main ballroom for dinner and will be able to see all proceedings via a video link with entry to the main ballromm for dancing and disco afterwards. The evening includes a 4 course dinner, the medal presentation ceremonies and dancing and disco. There is a special overnight accommodation rate available of €80 per double room. ST. PATRICKS IN MUNSTER JUNIOR HURLING FINAL

Good luck to St. Patrick’s for their AIB Munster Junior Club Hurling Final against Meelin of Cork at Mallow GAA Grounds at 2pm on Sunday December 12.

UNDER 21 A HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Weather and some fixtures backlogs and clashes have seriously delayed the county under 21 A hurling championship. The semi-final between Arravale Rovers and the Mid Division representatives will be played on Sunday December 19 at 1.30pm in Golden. Kilruane MacDonaghs have already qualified for the final which is scheduled to be played on St. Stephen’s Day.
